Educational Counselor

About the Role

Vibedu Study Abroad invites a skilled Education Counselor to join their Ravipuram, Kochi office. This role involves guiding students and parents on overseas education options, converting inquiries into successful applications, and supporting students throughout their admission journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide counseling to students and parents on international education opportunities, courses, universities, eligibility criteria, and career prospects.
• Assess students' academic histories, career aspirations, financial situations, and preferences to suggest fitting study options.
• Manage walk-ins, leads, phone and WhatsApp inquiries, and counseling sessions professionally.
• Convert qualified leads into applications and confirmed admissions through effective guidance and persistent follow-up.
• Assist students throughout the application process, including documentation, university submissions, offer letters, and admission formalities.
• Keep accurate and timely records in the CRM system.
• Ensure follow-ups to meet deadlines for application submissions and required documentation.
• Collaborate with admissions, documentation, and visa teams to facilitate seamless processing.
• Remain informed about university criteria, intakes, scholarships, country-specific rules, and admission workflows.
• Participate in seminars, educational fairs, webinars, and other student engagement initiatives as required.
• Meet monthly targets related to applications, deposits, and conversions.
• Uphold professional ethics in counseling while establishing strong rapport with students and parents.

Candidate Requirements

• A minimum of one year experience in overseas education or study abroad counseling.
• A bachelor's degree in any field.
• Thorough understanding of global education destinations, courses, and admission processes.
• Excellent proficiency in English communication and interpersonal interactions.
• Strong skills in counseling, persuasion, negotiation, and lead-to-application conversion.
• Confidence in addressing queries from students and parents.
• Capability to maintain consistent follow-up and nurture relationships.
• Target-driven, self-motivated mindset suited for performance-based environments.
• Familiarity with CRM tools and basic Microsoft Office applications.
• Preference given to candidates with experience related to the UK, Germany, Australia, Canada, Ireland, or major study abroad destinations.
