Overview

Fabletics is seeking a passionate Designer specializing in Women’s activewear to help spearhead seasonal concepts that balance fashion-forward ideas with performance, functionality, and the brand’s unique aesthetic. You will become a vital part of a dynamic, fast-paced creative team committed to building one of the world’s most fashionable, innovative, and inclusive active-lifestyle brands.

Role Description

• Drive market research and competitive analysis, identifying trends, silhouettes, mood boards, color palettes, and fabric innovations.
• Demonstrate deep knowledge of design, garment fit, material selection, and construction while effectively communicating ideas to design leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Contribute to building collections that align with line plans and assortment strategies, managing cost objectives responsibly.
• Lead the design and development of a specific category of styles from concept through final creation, collaborating closely with cross-departmental partners to produce innovative, brand-consistent, and well-fitting products.
• Work alongside Product Development and vendors to source raw materials and trims.
• Create and maintain technical documentation such as tech packs, sketches, and design presentations, incorporating fit feedback and modifications within PLM systems.
• Maintain strong consumer focus by analyzing online reviews, visiting stores, and engaging in customer insight events.
• Build and sustain effective working relationships across Merchandising, Production, Technical Design, and Product Development teams by proactively sharing updates.
• Adhere strictly to global calendar deadlines and project milestones.
• Foster a collaborative and positive team environment.

Qualifications and Experience

• 4 to 6 years of design experience, ideally within the activewear sector.
• A proven history of trend identification and successful product delivery.
• Strong insight into the competitive marketplace and consumer landscape.
• Expertise in garment construction with a keen eye for detail, fabric selection, and fit.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effective collaboration across diverse teams and organizational levels.
• Ability to innovate creatively in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and high-volume style output.
• A motivated self-starter with entrepreneurial spirit, resourceful problem-solving skills, and the capacity to work independently.
• Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for creating design flats, tech packs, and line sheets.
• Foundational experience or familiarity with generative AI tools and a proactive approach to adopting new technologies to boost creativity and efficiency.

Preferred Skills (Trainable)

• Experience with Miro collaboration platform.
• Knowledge of 3D design software.

Work Location

This position is based at Fabletics’ headquarters in El Segundo, California, with a hybrid work schedule offered.

Compensation & Benefits

• An annual salary ranging between $80,000 and $100,000, dependent on experience, job scope, and work location.
