Overview
We are seeking motivated individuals eager for career growth or change, possessing transferable administrative skills, to join the Dermatology service. Two exciting new roles support medical photography and cancer care pathways. Successful candidates will collaborate flexibly with medical secretarial teams, consultants, and others.
Key Responsibilities
- Type and send clinical correspondence for NHS patients adhering to quality and timeliness standards.
- Maintain effective communication with hospital wards, departments, patients, and health providers associated with consultants and their teams.
- Support maintenance of departmental clinical administrative information and manage general correspondence filing.
- Undergo training to understand the 18-week RTT process, the Trust Patient Access Policy, and national waiting list guidelines, ensuring policy adherence.
- Perform regular case note upkeep and precise filing tasks.
- Organize and schedule meetings as needed.
- Provide support and coverage across Business Unit/Division areas and carry out other tasks as assigned.
- Handle telephone communications, taking messages and responding to inquiries promptly.
- Address queries promptly in person or by phone, escalating issues when necessary.
- Request tests and investigations following patient attendance or referral letters, highlighting missing items to clinic receptionists.
