Role Overview
The Delivery Driver position is based onsite in Ahmedabad, responsible for collecting, transporting, and delivering packages accurately and promptly. Daily activities include route planning, confirming order details, handling packages carefully, and securing necessary delivery proof. The driver will interact courteously with customers, offer basic assistance or information when required, and report any issues or delays to the supervisor. Maintenance of vehicles or delivery equipment in good working order, adherence to safety and traffic regulations, and compliance with company policies are essential aspects of this role.
Required Qualifications
- Competency in navigating local Ahmedabad routes and effectively managing delivery schedules.
- Excellent customer service capabilities, including effective communication and professional conduct with customers and colleagues.
- Strong attention to detail for order verification, safe package handling, and precise delivery record maintenance.
- Physical capability to lift and transport packages using safe methods.
- Dependability and ability to manage time to meet delivery deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Possession of a valid driver's license, a clean driving record if operating a vehicle, and knowledge of basic safety and traffic laws.
- Comfortable using mobile devices or handheld scanners for delivery tracking and status updates.
- Previous delivery, logistics, or courier service experience is advantageous but not compulsory; openness to learning and training is crucial.
