Data Insights Lead

Role Overview

We are looking for a Strategic Insights Lead to help shape decisions across the organisation through data-driven analysis and recommendations. This role combines strong analytical thinking with clear communication, turning complex information into practical guidance that supports business performance.

Insights and Analysis

• Review business, customer, and market information to spot patterns, opportunities, and actions worth pursuing.
• Assess how well initiatives, programmes, and activities are working by using both quantitative and qualitative evidence.
• Create insight-led recommendations that help improve performance and support strategic priorities.
• Track external developments and new best practices to keep decision-making informed.

Reporting and Data Storytelling

• Prepare concise and meaningful reports, dashboards, and presentations for different stakeholder groups.
• Convert complex analytical outputs into persuasive stories that support better decisions.
• Develop case studies and success stories that highlight the impact of data-led approaches.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Develop strong working relationships with stakeholders across the organisation.
• Serve as a dependable advisor by offering insights and recommendations for important decisions.
• Work with cross-functional teams to improve processes, efficiency, and overall performance.

Continuous Improvement

• Look for ways to strengthen analytical capability, reporting workflows, and insight generation.
• Promote an evidence-based culture and a mindset of continuous improvement.

Experience and Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in data, analytics, business intelligence, or an insights-related role.
• A degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a similar field.
• Advanced Excel skills and hands-on experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or comparable platforms.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical ideas to non-technical audiences.
• Proven capability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.

Desirable Experience

• Exposure to SQL, Python, R, VBA, or similar analytical tools.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis, forecasting, experimentation, or performance measurement frameworks.
• Experience handling customer, market, or operational datasets.
• Strong commercial awareness and a proactive approach to identifying improvement opportunities.
