Job Overview
If you are a technically skilled professional eager to join a leading team and develop expertise in managing one of the largest IT infrastructures globally, this role is for you. We are growing our infrastructure team and seeking IT Specialists or IT Systems Electronics Technicians.
As a member of the Data Center Operations (DCO) team, you will be responsible for the operation and upkeep of data center IT infrastructure and hardware within AWS Cloud regions. You will serve as the primary point of contact for your support team, gaining troubleshooting capabilities across diverse hardware and software issues. Your role includes diagnosing and resolving most infrastructure challenges and escalating complex problems to specialized solution teams. You will also ensure continuous availability of the infrastructure.
Primary Responsibilities
- Adhere to and promote top-tier safety standards and foster a world-class safety culture within your environment.
- Lead safety initiatives and projects that reinforce a strong organizational safety ethos.
- Troubleshoot and physically repair hardware and networking problems in the data center.
- Analyze failures and perform root cause investigations of equipment malfunctions.
- Respond promptly to incidents in line with internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Handle and lift heavy equipment following applicable weight regulations.
- Work in rotating shifts including mornings, evenings, nights, and weekends to maintain 24/7 data center operations.
- Participate in on-call rotations to address off-hours emergency calls.
Qualifications
- Practical experience in diagnosing and fixing computer hardware issues.
- Familiarity with networking concepts and troubleshooting.
- Must be a citizen of an EU member country.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven ability to manage customer interactions effectively during technical problem resolution and perform well under pressure.
- High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle for daily commuting.
