Position Overview

We are searching for a meticulous and analytical Data Analyst to join a newly formed team that is dedicated to creating, developing, and managing enterprise-wide reporting solutions. This position is essential in converting complex financial and business data into insightful, actionable intelligence that supports strategic decisions and enhances operational performance.

The analyst will collaborate closely with finance, operations, and other business partners to advance reporting projects, build dashboards, conduct comprehensive data analyses, and optimize reporting workflows. This role is ideal for early-career candidates keen to improve their technical, analytical, and business skills while working alongside seasoned professionals in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing and implementing business intelligence dashboards and reporting frameworks.
• Build and maintain interactive dashboards primarily using Power BI and other visualization tools.
• Develop both scheduled and ad hoc reports that inform business and financial decisions.
• Ensure that data within reports and dashboards is accurate, reliable, and consistent.
• Analyze extensive datasets to discern trends, patterns, and areas ripe for business enhancement.
• Support initiatives that improve stakeholders' understanding of operational and financial results.
• Convert complex data findings into straightforward, actionable insights understandable by non-technical audiences.
• Manage and update databases, reporting architectures, and data models, ensuring data integrity through validation and quality assurance processes.
• Identify opportunities to automate and streamline reporting tasks for efficiency gains.
• Document reporting standards, data definitions, and methodology to support knowledge sharing and consistency.
• Collaborate across functions—finance, operations, and business units—to grasp reporting needs and challenges.
• Work with senior analysts and team members to enhance existing reporting solutions continuously.
• Engage in meetings aimed at project requirements gathering and reporting improvements.
• Effectively communicate analysis outcomes and recommendations with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related discipline is preferred.
• 1 to 3 years of professional experience in data analytics, business intelligence, finance, reporting, or a similar analytical function.
• Relevant internships, academic projects, or hands-on experience will be considered.
• Proficiency with Power BI, Tableau, Looker or similar data visualization tools; strong skills in advanced Excel functions such as Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Query, Conditional Formatting, and Macros with automation basics.
• Familiarity with SQL and relational databases used for extracting, transforming, and analyzing data.
• Understanding of data modeling and reporting best practices.
• Experience with finance or operational performance data is advantageous; exposure to ERP, CRM, or financial systems is beneficial.
• Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the capability to explain technical details to non-technical audiences.
• A curious learner with a dedication to continuous personal and professional growth.
• Ability to work autonomously and within team settings.
• Additional preferences include knowledge of financial reporting, dashboard design, financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and experience in food service or hospitality sectors.
• Exposure to Power BI DAX, SQL scripting, or data warehouse environments is a plus.

Working Hours and Location

This full-time role operates from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time, based at 2400 Yorkmont Road, Charlotte, NC, with a hybrid work arrangement.
