Job description
Role Overview
Become a key team member within the Waimakariri District Council by serving as a Customer Services Officer in Rangiora. This full-time, onsite position offers diverse duties where every day brings new topics, ranging from water and drainage issues to rates, dog registrations, and waste management. Your efforts will directly impact the local community by addressing a broad range of council services.
Primary Responsibilities
You will act as the community's initial contact point, managing inquiries through various channels including telephone, email, online platforms, and social media. Providing professional, friendly, and solution-oriented communication within a dynamic call centre setting will be your main task.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated customer service expertise, especially with a minimum of 12 months’ experience in a call centre environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to adapt quickly to new technology applications.
- Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational capabilities to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced work environment.
- A cooperative team player mindset, embracing a positive and collaborative spirit.
Work Conditions
This permanent full-time role involves working 8-hour days, Monday through Friday.
