Role overview
Lidl is looking for a Customer Assistant to help deliver a positive shopping experience in its Clonsilla store. This is a standard 30-hour contract with pay starting at €460+ per week. The position involves varied duties, changing shift patterns, and working closely with different colleagues in a busy retail environment.
Working pattern
The role includes different shift windows across the day:
Morning shift: Starts at 5am or 6am. You will help replenish the shop floor, prepare bakery items, and get the store ready for opening.
Middle shift: Begins in late morning or early afternoon. Duties include keeping the store clean and well presented, helping customers with queries, and serving at tills to keep queues moving.
Late shift: Starts in the afternoon. You will support customers at the checkout, refill missing stock, and prepare the store for the following day.
Main duties
Provide friendly, helpful, and pleasant service to customers.
Apply stock-loss controls consistently throughout the store.
Keep the store and outside areas clean and hygienic.
Follow freshness and stock rotation procedures.
Handle waste correctly and in line with store processes.
Support the stock counting process.
Requirements
A positive, can-do attitude and strong customer service approach.
Willingness to go the extra mile for shoppers.
Dependable, responsible, and able to be relied on.
Comfort working in a fast-moving and varied environment.
Team-oriented mindset and ability to work well with others.
Previous experience in a customer-facing role is preferred but not essential if you bring the right attitude.
You must be 18 or older because the job requires selling alcohol.
Pay and benefits
The company offers a transparent pay structure with equal pay across positions. Hourly pay starts at €15.40 and increases to €17.90 after 3 years, with additional payments for unsocial hours, overtime/Sundays, and bank holidays.

Additional pay details
Year 1: Basic rate €15.40; €19.25 unsocial hours; €23.10 overtime/Sundays; €30.80 bank holiday.
Year 2: Basic rate €16.20; €20.25 unsocial hours; €24.30 overtime/Sundays; €32.40 bank holiday.
Year 3: Basic rate €16.90; €21.13 unsocial hours; €25.35 overtime/Sundays; €33.80 bank holiday.
Year 4: Basic rate €17.90; €22.38 unsocial hours; €26.85 overtime/Sundays; €35.80 bank holiday.
