Role overview
A major global asset management firm is hiring a Credit Risk Manager for its Dublin office. This position sits inside the Investment Risk team and is responsible for evaluating and tracking the financial stability of key third-party suppliers across an international business.
You will work as part of a highly collaborative Global Risk group covering investment, financial, and non-financial risk areas. The role involves close partnership with Finance, Procurement, and Risk teams, and offers significant exposure, independence, and the chance to influence how supplier credit risk is handled across the organisation.
What you will do
- Take ownership of the financial review, continuous monitoring, and scheduled re-assessment of strategic suppliers, ensuring that potential credit issues are spotted and escalated promptly.
- Carry out in-depth credit assessments using financial accounts, market information, and stakeholder input, then prepare concise credit papers and risk recommendations for governance discussions.
- Build and improve financial risk tools, models, and control frameworks, including data-led and AI-supported approaches, to strengthen live monitoring of supplier financial resilience.
Experience needed
- Prior experience in Credit Risk, Counterparty Risk, Investment Risk, or Corporate Credit Analysis, ideally within asset management, banking, or a credit ratings organisation.
- Strong capability in reading financial statements and building financial models, combined with sound commercial judgement and analytical thinking.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, sharp attention to detail, and the confidence to work with senior stakeholders in a matrixed environment.
