Role Overview
True Classic is looking for a Creative Strategist to own persona-led creative direction and messaging across paid media. The position focuses on building performance-driven concepts, copy, and testing systems that create measurable impact throughout the funnel. It is best suited to someone who blends strategic thinking, data analysis, hands-on execution, and a strong consumer mindset to turn customer feedback and campaign results into scalable creative playbooks and high-converting ads.
This is a global, omnichannel role. The work spans all products, countries, and marketing and sales channels, with influence across DTC, retail, wholesale, marketplaces, and newer growth channels.
Creative Strategy and Performance Insights
- Own reporting and learning summaries for assigned products and verticals.
- Study performance trends across hooks, message angle, structure, tone, offers, and claims to guide future iterations.
- Convert customer insight, CX feedback, and performance data into practical testing plans.
- Link media results to creative opportunities that can lower CPA and help scale winning ideas.
Messaging Architecture and Copy
- Create persona-based messaging frameworks for each stage of the funnel, including value props, objections, reasons to believe, social proof, offers, and calls to action.
- Write direct-response copy for hooks, voice-over scripts, captions, headlines, and landing page concepts.
- Design messaging systems and playbooks that improve consistency, speed, and overall creative quality.
- Use consumer psychology, jobs-to-be-done thinking, and persuasion principles to strengthen campaign performance.
Creative Briefing and Execution Support
- Prepare creative briefs informed by performance data, clear hypotheses, and defined success metrics.
- Work with the Creative Director to break down top-performing concepts and turn them into repeatable creative systems.
- Give clear direction and feedback to creators, editors, and production partners during execution.
- Prototype ideas and communicate direction with light edits, annotated boards, and visual references when needed.
Platform Strategy and Operations
- Shape platform-specific creative strategies for Meta, TikTok, YouTube/Shorts, and CTV.
- Stay current on new platform trends, creative formats, and audience behavior.
- Use AI tools to speed up research, ideation, copy development, and workflow efficiency.
- Keep messaging and claims aligned with approved legal and brand guidelines.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with creative, media buying, and analytics teams to align strategy with performance goals.
- Collaborate with customer insights and CX teams to bring consumer feedback and behavioral trends into messaging.
- Work with production teams, creators, legal, and brand stakeholders to ensure strong, compliant, performance-focused execution.
Qualifications
- Background in creative strategy, performance marketing, copywriting, or direct-response advertising.
- Hands-on experience with Meta, TikTok, YouTube/Shorts, CTV, Looker, ads managers, and creative analytics tools.
- Strong ability in strategic thinking, copy development, creative analysis, and consumer psychology.
- Capability to turn performance data into scalable concepts and actionable testing frameworks.
- Proven success working cross-functionally, managing fast-moving creative workflows, and delivering measurable business results.
Preferred Experience
- Experience using frameworks such as AIDA, PASDA, and similar direct-response copy structures.
- Helpful to have light creative prototyping skills in CapCut, Premiere, Figma, Photoshop, or Canva.
Work Arrangement
This position is hybrid, with three days per week in the office, based in Calabasas, CA.
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation includes a competitive salary plus bonus.
