About the Role & Program
The Walt Disney Studios Creative Marketing department is looking for an energetic and imaginative intern to contribute to the promotional campaigns for both theatrical releases and streaming content. This position provides a comprehensive, experiential opportunity to learn and assist in executing full-scale creative marketing projects.
As a Creative Advertising Intern, you will collaborate closely with a seasoned team of marketers, producers, and creative directors to support the creation and distribution of trailers, TV spots, digital and social content, print assets, and innovative experiential campaigns.
This internship is designed to offer deep insights into how a major entertainment studio presents its films and content to worldwide audiences. Additionally, you will have the chance to participate actively in creative brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas.
The internship period is from September 2026 through December 2026, reporting directly to the Director of Creative Advertising.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage creative assets by tracking, organizing, and routing marketing materials through the review and approval pipeline to ensure smooth project workflow.
- Support design and print activities, including assisting with presentation creation, adjusting layouts, handling file management, and preparing Keynote and PowerPoint decks for internal teams and filmmakers.
- Assist in Audio/Visual creative processes by securely distributing assets, coordinating agency deliverables, and ensuring timely access to campaign materials across teams.
- Conduct market and competitive research by analyzing industry trends and promotional content to guide strategic marketing efforts.
- Engage in creative brainstorming sessions, contribute concept ideas, attend agency meetings, collect feedback, and help coordinate revisions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with various teams and agencies to maintain brand consistency, facilitate communication, and align marketing materials with campaign objectives.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Familiarity with print and audio/visual marketing assets.
- Proven proficiency in presentation tools such as Keynote, PowerPoint, and Google Slides, with an emphasis on visual storytelling techniques.
- Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud applications including Photoshop and Premiere Pro.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects or deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Effective communication skills to clearly express creative ideas and work collaboratively within diverse teams.
Preferred Background & Skills
- Deep enthusiasm for film, television, pop culture, and related entertainment industries.
- Experience in student film projects, campus marketing, creative writing, or managing social media for student groups is highly advantageous.
Education
- Preferred candidates are in their senior year.
- Field of study should preferably be Art, Marketing, Communications, Cinema/Television/Media Studies, Graphic Design, or related disciplines.
Eligibility Requirements & Program Details
- Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and actively taking at least one class at the time of application, or currently participating in a Disney College Program or Internship.
- Current Disney Interns or Program Participants are limited to a maximum of one consecutive year (12 months) working in any combined internship or program.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old and possess unrestricted work authorization.
Additional Information
- An ability to maintain a consistent and reliable work schedule throughout the duration of the internship is required.
- The internship is scheduled approximately from August 2026 to December 2026.
- The work schedule involves onsite presence four days per week (Monday through Thursday) with Fridays remote but flexible.
- Candidates must arrange their own housing accommodations in Burbank, CA, for the program duration.
- Reliable transportation to and from the worksite is also necessary.
Compensation
The position offers hourly pay at $22.50 in California. Depending on the role level and position, select benefits such as medical, financial, or others may be included as part of the compensation package.
