About the Role
The Haltern Youth Hostel, accommodating 234 beds and welcoming approximately 17,000 guests annually, serves families with children, school groups, sports teams, conference guests, and participants of holiday camps. Besides the main building, there is a 'Roman Village' consisting of six houses with a capacity for up to 66 people. We are seeking a cook (m/f/d) to join our team in either full-time or part-time capacity as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare meals and serve them or manage the buffet according to our high visual standards.
- Maintain compliance with Smile® quality management standards and hygiene regulations.
- Perform general kitchen cleaning duties including dishwashing.
- Assist kitchen management with organizational tasks.
Candidate Profile
- Completed training as a cook (m/f/d).
- Enjoy presenting foods and managing a buffet.
- Possess good manners and a neat appearance.
- Enjoy engaging with people as well as working in the kitchen.
- Have good German language skills.
- Value teamwork and camaraderie.
- Be flexible and able to handle pressure.
- Demonstrate initiative and offer creative ideas.
