Container Load Out Coordinator

About the role

Silver Fern Farms Takapau is hiring a Container Load Out Coordinator to oversee the loading of shipping containers and make sure product moves out accurately and on time. This role works closely with warehousing, logistics, and transport partners to keep loadouts running smoothly.

The normal working pattern is from 5:30am to 3:00pm, with 9 hours worked each day.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate cartoned product in storage against shipping contracts and consolidation needs.
• Make sure internal and external food safety and quality standards are understood and applied across the team.
• Plan and control container loading so shipping instructions are followed correctly.
• Help build team culture and support the achievement of team goals.
• Drive ongoing improvement by encouraging practical ideas that improve how the work is done.

About you

To succeed in this role, you should be comfortable solving problems in a busy, high-pressure setting and be focused on practical outcomes. You will need at least 2 years of experience in warehousing, distribution, or export loading, ideally in a coordination or leadership capacity.

You should be confident using business systems and digital tools, including warehouse management systems, RF scanning, and the Microsoft suite. A strong commitment to continuous improvement is also important.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with container load-out or dispatch best practices in a large distribution operation, preferably in food manufacturing. Experience with incoming and outgoing goods, shipping, export loading, and industry regulatory requirements is expected.

You must understand the value of quality control and have demonstrable experience maintaining it. Health and safety compliance is essential and must be treated as non-negotiable.
