Job description

Position Overview

This is a contractual role for one year as a Consultant Chief Security Officer at Ongc Tripura Power Company, with possible extension depending on mutual agreement and organizational needs. The job location is Palatana, Tripura.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must hold a graduate degree from a recognized university or institution and bring at least 12 years of experience in security-related roles. Preference will be given to ex-military personnel such as those from the Army, CAPF, BSF, or State Police, holding ranks Major, DSP, Deputy Commandant or above, or equivalent.

Compensation Details

The monthly fixed remuneration is Rs. 93,000, along with up to Rs. 5,000 to cover communication expenses such as mobile phone charges.

Role Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily security operations between OTPC Management and Tripura State Rifles.
  • Ensure effective security personnel deployment and facilitate periodic training for enhanced operational readiness.
  • Supervise physical frisking of all personnel, visitors, and vehicles entering or leaving the plant.
  • Maintain liaison with TSR Headquarters, local police, intelligence agencies, courts, and Panchayats on security issues.
  • Ensure a safe, peaceful, and harmonious environment within the plant and Khilpara Township in Gomati district.
  • Build constructive engagements with local community members, including villagers, community representatives, and union leaders to preemptively address potential conflicts.
  • Serve as a key troubleshooter during industrial relations concerns or security disturbances to facilitate swift resolution.
  • Implement strong security measures to prevent theft, trespassing, pilferage, or other breaches to safeguard the plant premises.
  • Conduct regular inspections, risk assessments, and enforce preventive security protocols.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management from time to time.

Candidate Profile

  • Demonstrated expertise in managing industrial security for large-scale industrial setups.
  • Excellent organizational skills with proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Ability to analyze and identify emerging issues early, offering corrective solutions in collaboration with the COO.
  • Strong interpersonal and liaison capabilities.
  • Familiarity with the local language is considered beneficial.
