Community Liaison Officer

Job Overview

Serve as the vital connection between Tako God's Resources Ltd and the local mining communities within the Eastern Region. Lead and oversee various corporate social responsibility initiatives including educational support, water supply projects, and land restoration efforts. Your role will focus on building trust and advocating for responsible, ethical mining practices.

Primary Duties

• Facilitate regular community meetings and gather feedback from local stakeholders.
• Supervise CSR initiatives such as drilling boreholes, renovating schools, and conducting tree planting activities.
• Champion zero-mercury mining practices and promote safe operational standards among miners.
• Act as a mediator to resolve conflicts occurring between miners and the company.
• Compile and present impact reports and metrics to senior management to measure CSR effectiveness.

Qualifications and Skills

• Possess a degree in Community Development, Sociology, or a closely related discipline.
• Be fluent in Twi and possess comprehensive understanding of the cultural nuances of the Akyem region.
• Demonstrate proven experience in corporate social responsibility or direct community engagement roles.
• Exhibit strong abilities in communication and conflict management, facilitating constructive dialogue between parties.
