Key Responsibilities

• Represent the organization at public meetings, community forums, hearings, and other stakeholder events.
• Collaborate with economic development teams to support commitments related to incentives, community benefits, and local impacts.
• Work with environmental and sustainability teams to communicate responsible development efforts and address concerns raised by communities.
• Develop proactive communication plans that emphasize project benefits, set realistic expectations, and mitigate reputational risks.
• Track community sentiments, identify emerging issues, and offer strategic advice to leadership teams.
• Provide executives with insights on stakeholder perspectives, relationship-building opportunities, and potential challenges.

Qualifications and Experience

• At least 8 years of professional experience in community affairs, public engagement, corporate communication, government relations, or similar disciplines.
• Demonstrated expertise in engaging diverse stakeholder groups related to large-scale infrastructure, technology, energy, or development projects.
• Exceptional public speaking, presentation, facilitation, and relationship management capabilities.
• Proficient at handling sensitive political, social, and reputational matters with discretion and sound judgment.
• Experience in developing and managing community benefit programs focused on workforce development, education, infrastructure, or local partnerships.
• Strong knowledge of strategies to build trust with community stakeholders through engagement and communication.
• Effective collaboration skills across government, community, and corporate sectors.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with adaptability for diverse audiences.
• Strategic thinker with strong organizational skills capable of managing multiple priorities in dynamic environments.
• Preferred experience in crafting scalable engagement models and communication plans.
