Job Description
The role of Commercial Title Examiner involves supporting real estate transactions nationwide by examining public records and evaluating property titles, primarily in commercial or industrial real estate. This role is part of a collaborative title team in a production center or branch office.
Primary Responsibilities
- Analyze and compile data from public and tax records to identify liabilities and assess the legal status and insurability of commercial or industrial property titles.
- Prepare detailed and accurate title commitments adhering to company examination and policy protocols.
- Follow established standard procedures and team guidelines during all tasks.
- Understand the interrelation of the role within the team and coordinate activities accordingly.
- Provide quality support that positively influences the team’s effectiveness.
- Identify and resolve typical problems by choosing from predefined solutions.
- Communicate complex information clearly within the team in routine scenarios.
- Operate under general supervision with limited flexibility in approach, managing individual workload without supervisory responsibilities.
- Complete additional duties as directed by management.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum education level: High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Relevant work experience: Typically at least 2 years in related roles.
