About the Role
This position is with a well-established Irish commercial insurance brokerage located in Cavan, Ireland, which operates a small, collaborative team of seven people. The company has over 35 years of market presence and is part of a larger international insurance group. The role offers hybrid work flexibility depending on location and seniority.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and expand an existing portfolio of commercial clients.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities to promote organic growth.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
- Manage policy renewals, address client queries, and ensure excellent service delivery.
- Process insurance documentation following internal procedures and comply with Central Bank of Ireland regulations.
- Provide advice on various commercial insurance products, including casualty, property, fleet (excluding motor), and mid-sized accounts ranging from €20,000 to €80,000 in premiums.
- Participate in approximately five to six high-level client meetings annually.
Candidate Profile
- At least two years' experience in commercial insurance broking, either as a Handler or Executive. Candidates with robust Personal Lines experience who aspire to transition into Commercial Lines are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Experience handling Personal Lines, Employers Liability (EL), Commercial Lines (CL), property, fleet, or related sectors.
- Possession of recognized Irish insurance qualifications such as APA or CIP.
- Excellent communication, networking, and relationship management skills.
