Role overview
This is a remote, full-time opportunity based in Australia for an early-career Cloud Support Associate. The position is intended for graduates and professionals with up to 1 year of experience who want to grow in cloud computing, infrastructure, and IT operations.
In this role, you will partner with cloud engineers and support teams to help keep cloud environments running smoothly, investigate technical issues, and contribute to dependable cloud solutions for clients and internal users.
What you'll do
- Keep an eye on cloud infrastructure and assist with routine operational tasks.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and help close cloud-related technical problems.
- Assist in deploying and setting up cloud services.
- Help manage user accounts, permissions, and access settings.
- Track system health and flag potential performance concerns.
- Prepare and update technical documentation and support guides.
- Work with engineering teams on cloud implementation activities.
- Support backup, recovery, and security workflows.
- Take part in incident handling and continuous service improvement efforts.
What we're looking for
- A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cloud Computing, or a similar discipline.
- Fundamental understanding of cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Working knowledge of networking basics, operating systems, and IT infrastructure.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical ability.
- Clear communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Comfort working in a collaborative team environment.
- A strong eagerness to learn and build technical capability.
Preferred exposure
- Certification such as AWS Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals, or an equivalent credential.
- Experience or familiarity with Linux or Windows Server environments.
- Introductory scripting knowledge in PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
- Exposure to IT support work, cloud-related projects, internships, or home lab setups.
- Awareness of cybersecurity and cloud security fundamentals.
