Job description

Overview

We are seeking dedicated and industrious Class 3 Delivery Drivers to join our Edmonton, Alberta team at 7-Eleven Distribution Canada Corp. These full-time positions demand physical resilience and a strong work ethic as drivers will deliver directly into multiple retail store locations, handling freight manually under various weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transport and deliver assorted products straight into retail stores.
  • Handle unloading tasks using tailgates, hand carts, and dollies; no ramps are involved.
  • Perform day shifts lasting 10 hours, four days each week.
  • Operate company tandem axle trucks equipped with automatic transmissions.
  • Maintain precise driving logs and conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after trips.
  • Foster positive customer relations by engaging professionally with store personnel.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Possess a valid Class 3 driver’s license with a clean driving abstract, having no more than three demerits.
  • Have at least two years of experience operating heavy trucks; delivery experience is an advantage.
  • Be physically capable of lifting and transporting heavy goods (up to 50 pounds) repeatedly throughout shifts.
  • Be comfortable working in both cold and warm environments.
  • Hold a working smartphone and be willing to use it for job purposes; a cell phone allowance is provided.
  • Exhibit strong communication abilities and demonstrate a teamwork-oriented attitude.
  • Pass a criminal background check following hiring.

Work Schedule and Compensation

This is a permanent, full-time role with day shifts beginning at 7:00 AM, four shifts weekly. The hourly wage offered for this position is $25.00 CAD.
