Chief Operating Officer

Position Summary

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) serves as a key executive within the leadership team, responsible for overseeing daily business operations to ensure stability, efficiency, and sustainable growth. Collaborating closely with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the COO translates corporate vision into operational strategies, fosters interdepartmental cooperation, promotes business expansion, and optimizes organizational processes to achieve the company's long-term objectives.

Key Duties

• Design and implement comprehensive operational strategies and yearly plans that align with the firm's strategic direction to meet business goals.
• Take full accountability for day-to-day operational activities, constantly enhancing business workflows for improved operational performance and quality of service.
• Create and improve operational management frameworks, standard operating procedures, and key performance indicators to uphold high standards of management precision.
• Lead multiple departments such as operations, customer service, supply chain, and project management to ensure smooth interdepartmental synergy.
• Champion initiatives on digital transformation, process enhancement, and automation to advance the company's operational agility and scalability.
• Plan operational budgets, manage expenses, optimize resource allocation, and continuously seek ways to increase profitability.
• Implement risk management systems to safeguard business continuity and ensure compliance with legal and internal regulations.
• Analyze operational metrics to promptly identify performance gaps and drive ongoing improvement efforts.
• Collaborate with teams across product development, technology, marketing, sales, finance, and HR to successfully implement organizational strategies.
• Build and nurture a high-caliber operations team by managing talent acquisition, organizational design, and leadership development.
• Provide regular operational reports and insights to the CEO and Board, supporting strategic decision-making with data-driven recommendations.

Qualification Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering Management, Economics, Finance, or related disciplines. An MBA is strongly favored.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in corporate operations, with at least 5 years in executive management positions such as VP of Operations or similar roles.
• Hands-on experience leading operations within large organizations or fast-scaling businesses, demonstrating success in driving change and growth.
• Expertise in designing operational systems, managing processes, overseeing performance, and controlling costs effectively.
• Strong skills in strategic planning, organizational coordination, and managing cross-functional teams.
• Knowledgeable in digital operations, process improvements, and project management frameworks.
• Exceptional abilities in data analysis and making informed business decisions.
• Excellent communication skills and leadership to inspire and guide teams.

Organizational Structure

Reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Supervises senior leaders including Vice President of Operations, Heads of Customer Success, Supply Chain, Project Management, as well as the Operations Support team, subject to structural changes.
