Overview
A physician-owned organization specializing in ophthalmology and optometry is looking for a Chief Operating Officer to manage operations across 20 clinic locations. This executive will address operational challenges, develop and implement strategies for enhanced performance, foster stronger cross-department collaboration, and support overall organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate existing clinic operations to pinpoint inefficiencies, operational gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Design and apply scalable workflows, standard operating procedures, and systems to boost efficiency, consistency, and profitability.
- Lead the rollout of operational projects ensuring procedures are consistently followed in all locations.
- Enhance coordination among clinical, administrative, billing, finance, HR, and IT departments.
- Utilize data and performance metrics to detect problems, prioritize interventions, and elevate operational outcomes.
- Head initiatives aimed at optimizing workflows, scalability, and organizational expansion.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to fortify the operational framework and accountability.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years experience in healthcare operations, preferably in ophthalmology, optometry, or multi-site healthcare settings.
- Demonstrated success in enhancing operational performance, instituting processes, and achieving measurable improvements.
- Expertise in developing scalable systems and workflows within dynamic environments.
- Thorough knowledge of how healthcare operations influence revenue, efficiency, and profitability.
- Ability to lead cross-functional projects and influence teams organization-wide.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and execution capabilities.
- Comfortable establishing structure and managing change in fast-paced settings.
