Role Overview
We are seeking a full-time Chemistry Teacher to join an international school in Doha, Qatar. This onsite position involves designing and delivering chemistry lessons that align with the institution’s curriculum and learning goals. Daily activities encompass lesson preparation, classroom instruction, student assessment, feedback provision, and maintaining detailed records of student progress.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to students' academic levels.
- Teach chemistry classes in a manner that fosters understanding of complex concepts.
- Assess student learning regularly and provide constructive feedback to support growth.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student achievements and progress.
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students.
- Collaborate with teaching staff on interdisciplinary projects and participate in staff meetings.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student development.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities and assist with exam preparations.
- Engage in ongoing curriculum enhancement initiatives.
Candidate Qualifications and Skills
- Strong expertise in Chemistry education with the ability to clarify intricate topics.
- Proficient in lesson planning and delivering structured, engaging learning experiences.
- Excellent communication skills for professional interaction with students, colleagues, and families.
- Basic knowledge of Physics to support integrated science teaching when necessary.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Science Education, or a related discipline.
- Valid teaching qualification or certification and prior experience teaching chemistry at middle or high school levels.
- Comfortable working in a multicultural environment and addressing diverse learning requirements in a gender-neutral setting.
- Strong classroom management and organizational capabilities.
- Familiarity with educational technology and digital tools to enhance learning.
- Willingness to relocate to Doha, Qatar, and compliance with local employment and visa regulations.
