The Mission

Carousell aims to lead the shift towards an AI-first commerce ecosystem, building on its classifieds and re-commerce strengths. To do this, it is nurturing the next generation of impactful leaders through this specialized programme.

Programme Overview

This is an exclusive and rigorous leadership development program designed to cultivate highly autonomous and resourceful operators termed "Barrels." Starting with a 3-month intensive immersion in the Founders Office, participants deepen skills in data, finance, and marketplace fundamentals. Subsequently, there are three 7-month rotations in core functional areas: product, growth, and commercialisation. Trainees will work closely with senior leaders, gaining hands-on experience while contributing directly to community impact and organisational growth.

Qualifications

• Educational background recommended in data analytics, economics, finance, business fields, or technical disciplines such as engineering, paired with strong logic, data literacy, business insight, and communication skills.
• 0 to 2 years professional experience; demonstrated results and shipped projects weigh more than years spent.
• Entrepreneurial and team-focused individuals with resilience to bounce back from setbacks.
• Proven builder mentality—experience founding ventures, contributing to startups, managing profitable side projects, or leading communities.
• Comfort working amidst ambiguity, and a high tolerance for execution pressures with a data-driven approach to failure.
• Fluency in using AI tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor, n8n, GPTs) daily to automate, build, and enhance outputs beyond conventional limits.
