Job description
About the Family
A compassionate and welcoming family in Carine, Perth WA, is seeking a dedicated nanny to join them on a long-term basis. They have created a peaceful and joyful home environment where family bonds are strongly cherished. Their energetic child is currently 9 months old, with a new baby expected in February. The family values someone who can become a dependable and positive presence in their daily lives.
Role Overview
Your primary responsibility will be providing attentive care to their curious infant while the mother prepares for the new baby's arrival. You will be actively involved in organizing engaging outings and activities such as visits to local parks, playgroups, and libraries, emphasizing learning through play. The family appreciates a nanny knowledgeable in early childhood development who can seamlessly include age-appropriate activities each day.
As the family welcomes their new baby in February, your duties will expand to care for both children and assist the family during this transition. During the toddler’s naps, you will perform light household duties focused on the children, including laundry, preparing simple meals, and maintaining the children's areas in an orderly fashion. The role does not include comprehensive housekeeping but entails helping to keep the household running smoothly.
Candidate Profile
The ideal nanny is someone who finds joy in caring for babies and toddlers, brings warmth, patience, and energy, and has confidence in planning stimulating activities. You must be knowledgeable about developmental milestones and skilled at creating a safe, nurturing environment that encourages security and growth for the children. Being organized, adaptable, enthusiastic about using initiative, and eager to build a lasting relationship with the family are essential traits.
Requirements
- Minimum three years of experience working with infants and young children
- Prior nanny experience
- Valid Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Clean National Police Check
- Active driver's license with confident driving skills
- Strong references from previous roles
- Commitment to a long-term position
Working Hours and Compensation
The nanny's schedule will be Monday to Thursday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Compensation ranges between $35 and $40 per hour plus superannuation, dependent on experience.
Why Join this Family?
This is an excellent opportunity to work with a family who deeply appreciates their nanny’s role and aims to develop a meaningful, enduring relationship. You will be part of the children’s developmental journey, celebrating each milestone and becoming a trusted member of their lives.
