Responsibilities

• Oversee and ensure that Ground Handling Agent services meet Emirates standards, including adherence to build instructions, optimal space utilization, load control, safety protocols, and any flight-specific instructions.
• Manage import cargo receipt and breakdown processes, addressing any arising issues promptly.
• Accurately prepare and verify cargo documentation, monitor consignment statuses, and ensure all records comply with local regulations and company policies.
• Maintain and update flight handling reports, spotting and monitoring irregularities or discrepancies.
• Efficiently dispatch post-flight information to relevant departments.
• Handle cargo telephone reservations promptly and accurately.
• Address and resolve customer complaints, queries, and claims, including escalations from cargo agents.
• Perform administrative tasks assigned by the cargo supervisor/officer such as data entry, report generation, and compiling statistics.
• Offer guidance, coaching, and support to cargo agents.
• Provide operational assistance and cover duties as directed by the cargo supervisor/officer, including duties related to freighter operations.

Qualifications and Requirements

• At least two years of experience in airline or cargo operations.
• Understanding of dangerous goods regulations, ideally possessing a Dangerous Goods (DG) certificate.
• Familiarity with weight and balance procedures and live animal transportation regulations.
• Proficiency in PC applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and email communication.
• Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English.

The role requires strict adherence to applicable health and safety standards and safe working practices relevant to the position.
