About the Role
Join the team at Hilton's Conrad Singapore Orchard as a Captain, where your leadership will enhance guest dining experiences. You'll oversee your team to guarantee service excellence, ensuring every guest interaction exceeds expectations by delivering warmth and memorable hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure a customer-centric approach in all duties, focusing on excellent service delivery.
- Actively promote Hilton's various services and facilities to hotel guests and suppliers.
- Fully comply with safety standards to protect yourself and colleagues.
- Possess deep knowledge of food and beverage menus to provide detailed explanations to guests.
- Understand and accommodate dietary preferences and suggest suitable options.
- Know menus of all hotel outlets to guide guests appropriately.
- Be aware of operation hours for all restaurants and hotel facilities.
- Recommend local dining and attractions to hotel visitors.
- Prepare the restaurant for service by completing required checklists.
- Welcome guests warmly, assist with personal belongings, and introduce yourself professionally.
- Promptly resolve guest queries or escalate to management when necessary.
- Maintain high standards in all service procedures.
- Ensure cleanliness and upkeep of service areas according to operating procedures.
- Take ownership of the guest experience within your designated section.
- Greet all guests entering or exiting the restaurant, regardless of your area assignment.
- Maintain professionalism, avoid inappropriate language, and prioritize guest service continuously.
- Report accidents or incidents promptly to supervisory staff.
- Perform additional reasonable duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications and Attributes
- Preferred: Relevant hospitality qualifications or equivalent professional experience.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English for guest interaction and collaboration.
- Positive attitude, self-motivation, openness to learning and professional growth.
- Ability to adapt swiftly in a dynamic work environment and manage varied operational needs.
- Capability to work cohesively with team members toward common goals.
- Basic understanding of food and beverage preparation, service, and responsible alcohol management.
- Confident in recalling and recommending menu items to guests.
- Strong interpersonal skills focused on guest service excellence.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
