About the Role

Because this role is highly specialised, the successful applicant will receive a three-week handover and training period from the current incumbent to ensure a smooth transition.
The ideal person will communicate with confidence and empathy, and will be strongly committed to inclusive education. Experience in scaffolding and adapting learning, comfort using a range of digital tools, and the ability to build positive working relationships with students, families, and colleagues will be highly valued.
Working hours: 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:00pm, during term time only.

- Help the student participate in learning by adapting tasks, resources, and support to suit individual needs.
- Design or modify learning materials that improve engagement and support progress.

- Contribute to and implement goals set in the Individual Learning Plan (ILP).
- Apply restorative approaches and positive behaviour support strategies.
- Observe, track, and document student progress and wellbeing.
- Communicate effectively with families, staff, and the Student Support Coordinator.
- Follow procedures relating to health and safety, confidentiality, and student support.
- Support the student’s safety, transitions, and general wellbeing throughout the school day.

- Confidence with digital technology and educational tools.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work well with staff, students, and families.
