Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled CAD Drafter/Technician to produce and maintain detailed CAD drawings and models supporting inspection activities within the petrochemical industry. This local position serves the Houston area and does not include a per-diem allowance. The role requires precision, collaboration, and the ability to meet project deadlines while ensuring safety compliance.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Create and update 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Revit.
• Develop and maintain accurate as-built drawings and models based on field inspections.
• Generate inspection reports, including detailed sketches and diagrams.
• Assist in designing inspection plans and procedures.
• Work closely with engineers, inspectors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Keep comprehensive and current project documentation.
• Adhere to applicable safety and quality standards diligently.
• Continuously update knowledge of CAD technology advancements and industry best practices.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

• Proficient in AutoCAD and other CAD software platforms.
• Strong grasp of engineering drawings and adherence to industry standards.
• Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational capabilities.
• Ability to function independently and within team environments.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Capability to work under pressure and meet deadlines reliably.
• Experience with 3D modeling tools such as AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Revit.
• Familiarity with inspection methods and procedures.
• Knowledge of data management and document control systems.
• Must not pose a safety or health risk to self or others at the workplace.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

• May require climbing ladders, scaffolds, or structures above and below ground.
• Maintaining balance on elevated platforms.
• Reaching, handling, and manipulating objects and materials.
• Coordinated eye-hand movements to operate tools and equipment.
• Lifting weights ranging from 30 to 50 pounds at various heights.
• Carrying tools and equipment as required.
• Ability to stand, sit, walk, push, pull, bend, kneel, crouch, and squat.
• Vision and hearing capabilities, with or without correction.
• Usage of respirators and personal protective equipment.
• Typing and data entry tasks.
• Work conditions may include exposure to extreme heat, cold, and loud environments.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation will be determined based on individual qualifications and experience.
