Role Overview
As a BI Developer, you will collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to produce insightful reports and dashboards. Your everyday tasks will include developing Power BI reports, building complex data models with DAX and SSAS Tabular, optimizing data integration from various sources, and maintaining a portfolio of reporting solutions that meet evolving business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and improve Power BI dashboards and visualizations.
- Gather and translate business needs into effective reporting solutions.
- Construct and optimize data models for dynamic reporting.
- Collaborate across departments to integrate and transform data.
- Analyze and troubleshoot issues in reports and data flows.
- Write and optimize SQL queries and procedures supporting reports.
- Manage report deployment and maintenance, providing after-hours support when needed.
- Ensure security, governance, and performance optimization of reporting solutions.
- Provide guidance and training on reporting tools to teams and stakeholders.
- Stay current with emerging technologies to enhance reporting processes.
Candidate Profile and Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in business intelligence, reporting, or data analytics roles.
- Proficiency in developing, administering, and optimizing Power BI reports.
- Strong skills in DAX, SSAS Tabular models, and dimensional data modeling.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including complex SQL query writing and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of data warehousing principles and ETL/ELT workflows.
- Familiarity with Azure data services and cloud-based reporting environments.
- Knowledge of DevOps or CI/CD practices applied to reporting and data pipelines.
- Strong analytical abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and contribute effectively to team goals.
