Job description
Company Overview
Notion is a collaborative AI workspace designed to unify knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI tools in one place to enhance work efficiency and coherence. Serving millions of users ranging from individual professionals to large enterprises, Notion aims to transform how teams interact and operate through intelligent automation and seamless integration.
Role Overview
The Business Development Representative (BDR) acts as the frontline to introduce targeted accounts to Notion's workflow-centric, builder-led sales approach. Based in Dublin, this role involves partnering with Solutions Consultants to find qualified companies keen to innovate their workflows, ensuring first meetings are both purposeful and productive. The position requires office presence three days a week to foster collaborative team efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and engage high-potential accounts to generate qualified, workflow-oriented sales pipeline aligned with sellers' strategic goals.
- Execute comprehensive multi-channel outbound campaigns through email, phone, LinkedIn, and events to stimulate interest and schedule meetings with key decision-makers.
- Conduct thorough qualification assessments ensuring prospects are prepared for advanced discussions by verifying ideal customer profile (ICP), intent, and workflow fit.
- Prepare detailed and organized handoff documentation within Salesforce including ICP indicators, challenges, workflow hypotheses, and stakeholder insights to facilitate seamless seller engagement.
- Utilize go-to-market (GTM) systems and intent data to optimize targeting strategies, prioritize accounts by signals, and enhance outbound campaign quality and consistency.
Required Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated success in outbound pipeline generation through proactive cold outreach across phone, email, and social platforms.
- Strong communication skills with the aptitude to craft tailored, persuasive messaging that resonates with diverse personas.
- Excellent qualification judgment with the ability to rapidly gauge ICP alignment, urgency, and set up solutions consultants for productive first meetings.
- Interest and foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies and API-driven or consumption-based business models.
- High-energy, data-driven approach to prioritize activities based on engagement signals rather than sheer volume.
- Curiosity and openness to adopting AI tools to improve work efficiency and outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Salesforce, Outreach, or similar GTM platforms.
- Familiarity with Notion's product suite or prior involvement in selling productivity, collaboration, or workflow software.
- Background in a fast-paced, metric-focused outbound environment with transparent pipeline objectives.
Compensation and Benefits
Notion offers competitive cash compensation, employee equity, and comprehensive benefits. Total on-target earnings (base salary plus incentive) are estimated at approximately €70,000 annually, though final compensation varies based on factors such as location, role scope, and candidate experience.
Equal Opportunity & Accommodations
Notion is committed to equal employment opportunities and inclusive hiring practices. Candidates are encouraged to apply even if all listed criteria are not fully met. The company considers qualified applicants with criminal histories in compliance with applicable laws and provides reasonable accommodations throughout the application process upon request.
A Note on AI
While deep AI expertise is not mandatory, Notion values intellectual curiosity and encourages all employees to integrate AI tools into their work to enhance productivity and collaboration.
