Internship Role
The position of Business Development Intern is a paid, full-time hybrid role located in the London Area, UK, allowing some flexibility for remote work. The intern will assist business development by conducting market research, identifying potential clients, and supporting lead generation initiatives. Daily tasks include preparing briefing documents, managing client data, updating CRM databases, and contributing to presentations and proposals directed at government and institutional clients. The role also involves coordinating meetings, facilitating outreach efforts, and collaborating with advisors to monitor opportunities and client communications. This internship provides hands-on experience in strategic advisory projects connected with policy, investment, and economic growth.
Candidate Requirements
- Strong analytical abilities to interpret data, synthesize information, and derive clear insights.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to write clearly, present ideas succinctly, and engage professionally.
- Competency in lead generation, including identifying prospects, basic CRM handling, and assisting outreach campaigns.
- Market research skills to collect and organize data related to sectors, regions, and potential clients.
- Customer service aptitude demonstrated by responsiveness, professionalism, and a team-oriented approach.
- Relevant academic background such as progress toward or completion of studies in economics, business, international relations, public policy or related disciplines.
- Additional skills include proficiency with MS Office tools (especially Excel and PowerPoint), meticulous attention to detail, and an interest in government, investment, and economic development.
- Ability to manage time effectively, work independently in a hybrid setting, and adapt to a dynamic, project-focused environment.
