Role Overview
We seek a dedicated and knowledgeable BIM Modeler who enjoys delving into construction intricacies, problem-solving creatively, and independently managing daily responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and updating 2D and 3D models utilizing software such as AutoCAD, Tekla, Sketchup, and Revit
- Maintaining organized workflows for model uploading, management, and maintenance
- Collaborating with trade partners to integrate models and resolve design clashes
- Gathering and documenting site data via 360° cameras, 3D cameras, drones, and iPads
- Assisting in understanding layout systems and training end users
- Producing shop drawings and translating hand sketches into AutoCAD files
- Uploading models and drawings to Trimble Connect, AutoCAD Mobile, and other remote platforms
- Participating in coordination meetings, recording notes, creating task lists, and distributing updates
- Developing and refining internal workflows and procedures as the role progresses
- Supporting field teams in troubleshooting Robotic Total Stations and associated software/equipment

Work Schedule
- Monday to Friday workweek

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Preferably a Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or Interior Design
- Proficient with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and Navisworks
- Willingness and ability to secure FAA Part 107 Drone Certification within 90 days of employment
- Passed background check and drug screening
- Availability to use a personal vehicle for business travel within an 80-mile radius, with mileage reimbursements; possession of a valid Virginia Driver’s License and excellent driving record
- Strong mathematical skills including arithmetic, algebra, and geometry
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings
- Effective communicator with strong collaboration, listening, and problem-solving skills
- Curious learner who seeks ongoing training to improve skills
- Strong adherence to safety culture consistent with Lee’s Safety for Life program
- Physically capable of tasks including sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 40 pounds
- Basic proficiency in Spanish considered an advantage
