About the Company
J.D. The company is currently seeking a licensed Automotive Technician or Automotive Technician Apprentice to join their equipment maintenance garage located in Deersdale, New Brunswick.

Core Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair a diverse fleet including ¼ ton to ¾ ton trucks and heavy machinery like road graders, excavators, dump trucks, loaders, log trucks, and trailers as required
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues concerning brakes, electrical systems, air conditioning, and others
- Perform routine inspections and repairs to keep the fleet in optimal working order
- Coordinate with operations personnel to facilitate timely and efficient deployment of equipment
- Ensure the workshop remains clean and organized
- Manage maintenance records through the work order system
- Collaborate with supervisors on various tasks and adhere to safety protocols onsite
- Engage in other related garage duties as necessary
Qualifications and Requirements
- Possession of Red Seal Automotive Technician certification or enrollment as an Automotive Technician Apprentice with at least Block 1 completed, plus a strong desire for skill development
- Minimum of five years of professional experience as an Automotive Service Technician or Mechanic with proven ability in diagnosis, testing, and repairs using specialized tools and diagnostics equipment
- Welding and fabrication skills are a plus
- Valid driver's license accompanied by a clean driving record
- Commitment to workplace safety standards
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Capability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment
- Willingness to work overtime when necessary
