AutoCAD Draughtsman

Overview

FZ Equipments Private Limited is looking for a proficient AutoCAD Sheet Metal Designer to join their Hyderabad team. The position demands expertise in preparing detailed 2D sheet metal fabrication drawings along with a solid grasp of manufacturing processes involved in sheet metal production.

Primary Responsibilities

• Generate accurate 2D sheet metal fabrication drawings utilizing AutoCAD software.
• Design comprehensive part, assembly, and production drawings for manufacturing use.
• Develop flat patterns and specify bending information essential for fabrication.
• Interpret and analyze engineering drawings and related specifications effectively.
• Collaborate closely with production and quality assurance teams to ensure design feasibility and quality standards.
• Modify designs based on technical inputs from engineering and customer feedback.
• Ensure adherence to drawing standards and maintain proper documentation of all design work.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent field.
• Strong command over AutoCAD software.
• Practical knowledge of sheet metal design principles, fabrication techniques, bending, and welding processes.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings; familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) is preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail with effective problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.

Additional Preferred Skills

• Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or related platforms is an advantage.
• Understanding of laser cutting, CNC punching, and press brake machinery operations.
• Knowledge of standard manufacturing and fabrication protocols and practices.
