Associate Project Manager

Role Overview

We are seeking a meticulous Associate Project Manager to aid in delivering commercial real estate projects based in New York, NY. This temporary contract position offers the potential for conversion to a permanent role, providing the chance to collaborate extensively with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and stakeholders in a dynamic setting. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent organizational skills, prudent decision-making, and a proactive mindset to ensure projects remain on schedule, properly documented, and aligned with quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing assigned projects by managing schedules, deliverables, and daily coordination tasks.
• Create, organize, and maintain project documentation to guarantee accuracy and ready access for stakeholders.
• Oversee project activities to ensure compliance with client requirements, company protocols, and established quality standards.
• Collaborate with internal departments to synchronize project scopes, timelines, and operational priorities across all project phases.
• Participate in meetings and site inspections to monitor progress, collect updates, and address potential issues impacting timeline, quality, or implementation.
• Support quality control efforts by recognizing gaps, escalating concerns, and upholding consistent project management controls.
• Incorporate industry best practices into project workflows to enhance organization, communication, and project delivery.
• Contribute to space planning, move coordination, and furniture reconfiguration initiatives as required.
• Communicate proactively with team members and stakeholders regarding milestones, upcoming actions, and project progress.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree preferably in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• Between 2 to 4 years of project management or equivalent experience within commercial real estate, construction, or comparable sectors.
• Strong organizational and time management capabilities with an aptitude for juggling multiple priorities effectively.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills coupled with interpersonal abilities to foster effective working relationships.
• Knowledgeable about construction processes and common practices in commercial real estate projects.
• Experience assisting with move management, workplace alterations, or furniture reconfiguration is advantageous.
• Certifications in project management or change management are desirable but not mandatory.
• Capability to work independently and collaboratively, along with willingness to travel for meetings and site visits.
