Role Overview

Cytokinetics is hiring an Associate Director, New Product Introduction (NPI) to join the Global Supply Chain & Technical Operations organization in Dublin. Reporting to the Executive Director, Strategic Product Leader, this position provides hands-on operational leadership for global new product introductions and early commercial lifecycle work.

The role works closely with the Strategic Product Leader and the Operations Launch Team to turn launch strategy into practical execution plans. It ensures market requirements are clearly defined, key assumptions are checked, and cross-functional work is coordinated so that product launches can happen compliantly and on schedule across markets.

Operational Launch Execution and Integration

• Coordinate launch operations for new products across international markets.
• Manage readiness tasks so that required inputs are identified, sequenced, and aligned across Regulatory, Packaging, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Commercial, and Market Access teams.
• Act as the main operations integration point for launch execution.
• Support readiness reviews, launch rehearsals, and go-live preparation.

Launch Strategy and Market Requirements

• Contribute operational insight to product and launch strategy, including business case evaluation and scenario analysis.
• Lead the market requirements process with Commercial and Market Access teams to define, validate, and convert country-specific regulatory, packaging, serialisation, and distribution needs into launch plans that align with approval timelines and commercial sequencing.

Regulatory, Packaging, and Route-to-Market Readiness

• Work with Regulatory Affairs to translate market-specific regulatory needs into launch execution plans.
• Coordinate packaging, labelling, and artwork activities to match launch timelines.
• Convert route-to-market models into operational requirements, including packaging configuration, supply sequencing, inventory build approaches, and distribution readiness.

Risk Management, Governance, and Improvement

• Identify operational risks, dependencies, and gaps that could affect launch readiness.
• Drive mitigation plans and follow-through to safeguard launch schedules and patient access.
• Build, maintain, and continuously improve the operations launch playbook for consistent execution across markets.
• Capture lessons learned and incorporate best practices into NPI governance standards and tools.

Required Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or a related field, along with 8–12+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or biopharma operations, technical operations, supply chain, or launch roles. Practical experience with new product introductions or product launches is essential.

A strong working understanding of packaging, labelling, and artwork processes; regulatory requirements affecting launch execution; and the interfaces between manufacturing and supply chain is required. The role also calls for experience working effectively in cross-functional, matrixed environments.

Preferred Background

• Experience supporting product launches in Europe and/or other international markets.
• Exposure to both technical operations and commercial launch settings.
• Familiarity with structured launch readiness frameworks or NPI governance models.
• Experience in fast-moving biotech or specialty pharma organisations.
