About the Role

Jugendherberge Schillighörn is a large hostel with 182 beds that welcomes around 8,400 guests annually. A team of 15 staff members ensures a comfortable stay primarily for families with children and school groups. Located at the unique natural beach of the Frisian North Sea coast, the hostel seeks to strengthen its kitchen team.

Position Starting Date

The position of Beikoch/Beiköchin (assistant cook) is available starting either from July 1, 2026, or August 1, 2026, offered as a full-time, onsite role.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing meals while respecting economic considerations and maintaining high-quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area and equipment as well as the dining hall, always ensuring hygiene and quality standards.
• Properly store goods and conduct regular checks on inventory.

Candidate Profile

• Experience working in food processing environments is required; ideally, candidates hold vocational training in housekeeping or related fields.
• Basic knowledge of the Infection Protection Act (IfSG) is necessary.
• Reliable, flexible, independent, solution-oriented, and cooperative working style.
• Ability to handle pressure, responsible, and trustworthy.
• Good command of the German language.
