Asset Protection Representative

Key Responsibilities

• Prevent, identify, and address theft and fraud within the store premises to reduce losses.
• Work alongside fellow asset protection professionals to handle provincial or national Organized Retail Crime investigations.
• Maintain regular cooperation with local law enforcement agencies.
• Conduct internal investigations, prepare evidence for legal or arbitration proceedings.
• Spot potential shrinkage and ensure compliance with operational standards to minimize losses.
• Foster strong partnerships with store management through meetings and coaching colleagues on asset protection policies.
• Participate in store audits and community outreach activities.
• Be available to work diverse shifts including days, evenings, nights, and weekends maintaining a 40-hour workweek.

Qualifications & Skills

• Must hold a valid Provincial Security Guard License.
• Basic knowledge of Canadian Criminal Code, Trespass to Property Act, arrest powers, CCTV, and surveillance systems.
• Proficiency with Windows applications such as Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Professional, approachable, and friendly interpersonal style.
• High levels of initiative and integrity to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
