About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant focused on Payables to oversee supplier payments and financial record accuracy. This role involves timely invoice processing, supplier statement reconciliation, VAT compliance, maintaining fixed asset records, and supporting audits, while upholding internal financial controls and ensuring alignment with IFRS and UAE FTA regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately process local and international supplier invoices within timely deadlines.
• Manage payment schedules for suppliers according to contract terms and cash flow considerations.
• Reconcile supplier accounts and address invoice inconsistencies.
• Prepare payment proposals including foreign currency transactions.
• Coordinate with Stores team to perform monthly inventory reconciliations.
• Maintain fixed asset registers, monitor prepayments, and handle month-end depreciation accounting.
• Manage VAT transactions such as Input VAT and Reverse Charge Mechanism compliance.
• Handle petty cash operations, bank payments, receipts, and cheque issuance.
• Perform regular bank and intercompany transaction reconciliations.
• Support audit processes by keeping detailed and accurate financial documentation.
• Ensure strict adherence to internal controls, IFRS standards, and local tax regulations.
• Contribute to additional accounting and finance tasks as needed.

Candidate Requirements

• Graduate degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
• Between 2 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Extensive knowledge of IFRS accounting standards and UAE Federal Tax Authority regulations.
• Proficiency with accounting software and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical abilities, organizational skills, and problem-solving aptitude.
• Demonstrated integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality in financial handling.
• Effective English communication skills, both written and verbal.
