Key Responsibilities

• Manage accounting and reporting for global fixed assets, including capitalized salaries and cloud system costs consistent with US GAAP.
• Generate periodic financial reports related to capital approvals, project spending, and asset deployments with useful life assessments.
• Perform monthly reconciliations between the fixed asset subledger and general ledger.
• Provide data for SEC filings such as 10-Q and 10-K, including global asset roll forwards.
• Support FP&A teams by forecasting depreciation expenses.
• Report on loss-making stores to facilitate annual or more frequent impairment testing globally.
• Test and implement innovative asset management technologies, including SAP Analytics Cloud forecasting.
• Cross-train within Lease Accounting to enhance operational flexibility and assist with lease accounting processes and improvements.
• Document standard operating procedures and contribute to process and system enhancements in capitalization practices.
• Coordinate fixed asset-related SOX controls and prepare for internal and external audit requests.

Collaborations

Work closely with Payables, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Regional Finance, IT, Business Operations, Shared Service Centers, Internal Audit teams, and external auditors (EY).

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum two years of accounting experience, ideally within retail or multi-location industries.
• Experienced in fixed asset management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is mandatory; professional certifications such as CA or CPA preferred.

Skills

• Comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP, SOX compliance, and global financial operations; IFRS knowledge is advantageous.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and forecasting tools, specifically SAP and SAP Analytics Cloud.
• Advanced Excel proficiency and ability to analyze data effectively; knowledge of Power BI or similar BI tools is a plus.
• Strong analytical mindset with detail orientation and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration capabilities for global team environments.
• Able to prioritize and perform under pressure in a multinational retail setting.
