Overview
The Accountability Manager functions within the Project Management Group (PMG) as the primary representative for munitions accountability throughout the contract. Responsibilities include managing the Munitions Stock Record Accounts and supporting the development of plans and policies aligned with the Theater Integrated Combat Munitions System (TICMS). This role works closely with the Munitions Functional Manager to oversee overall program management and ensures adherence to the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and the organization's ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the central authority for munitions accountability across the GPMS Contract in compliance with USAF standards and PWS.
- Guarantee that all transactions impacting munitions accounts are accurately entered into TICMS, maintaining auditable records to back each entry.
- Perform audit visits to Munitions Department sites to review accountability practices.
- Audit transactions within TICMS and MC2 systems.
- Develop and update monthly metrics for trend analysis and historical data on munitions.
- Maintain responsibility for the Regional Ammunition Control Point under the contract.
- Coordinate and verify the accuracy of all recurring reports, computer transactions, and correspondence related to accountability.
- Conduct semi-annual munitions inventories and review accountable records.
- Support the formulation and administration of Munitions Quality Control, Training, and Explosives Safety programs.
- Engage in special projects, management analysis, and prepare related reports for PSO/PMO.
- Assume all PMG responsibilities in the absence of the Munitions Functional Manager.
- Work requisite hours, including standby duties, to fulfill mission demands during peace and conflict periods.
- Assist Munitions Operations teams with compliance to DAFMAN 21-201 and site-specific accountability when staffing or mission conditions require.
- Coordinate with MASO representatives for GPMS stockpile accountability.
- Perform additional assigned duties and operate in office, maintenance shop, or warehouse settings, sometimes requiring extended work periods.
Candidate Requirements
- Extensive expertise in USAF Management, Logistics, and Maintenance Systems or an equivalent military service background.
- Intermediate knowledge of USAF Supply and Technical Order systems or their counterpart in other services.
- Proficiency in personal computing using Windows OS and Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license from the home country and ability to obtain the host nation's driver’s license.
- High school diploma or its equivalent is mandatory.
- Completion of formal USAF Munitions Systems training or an equivalent military course.
- Minimum eight years of experience handling Military Munitions.
- At least five years experience in Munitions Operations or a comparable field.
- Two years of supervisory experience in Munitions Operations or equivalent role.
- One year of experience managing custody accounts.
- Capability to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance, requiring US citizenship.
- Willingness and ability to wear prescribed Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed for assigned tasks.
- Physical ability to perform duties, including lifting or moving a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Availability for domestic and international travel.
- Normal color vision and depth perception required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience as a USAF MASO (Munitions Accountability System Officer).
- Background working with USAF MAJCOM Staff.
- Completion of CCAF degree in Munitions Management.
