Overview

This is an open application for a future Account Manager role at a technical performance marketing agency based in Brisbane, Queensland. The position will become active when a vacancy arises, at which point applicants who fit the profile will be invited to an initial chat. Role Purpose

The Account Manager will play a key role in nurturing and maintaining client relationships, ensuring strong retention, pinpointing opportunities for growth, and forecasting business requirements. The position supports company expansion and guarantees clients achieve significant, positive results.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and surpass client expectations throughout project lifecycles.
  • Lead strategic client engagements including high-level meetings, quarterly business reviews, and planning sessions.
  • Handle client escalations, working closely with delivery teams and leadership to resolve issues.
  • Take ownership of client retention, renewals, and portfolio management.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities such as additional work streams or expanded scopes.
  • Monitor financial metrics including recovery rates, scope changes, and commercial risks.
  • Coordinate with technical teams—SEO, PPC, Analytics & Data—to develop and align strategies with client objectives.
  • Oversee deliverables on major accounts, ensuring statement-of-work compliance, timeline adherence, and accurate reporting.
  • Support the Head of Client Services as second-in-command in strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Mentor junior Account Managers to enhance their skills and consistency.

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • At least 4 years of client relationship management experience, preferably within a marketing agency.
  • Proven senior account management capability in digital marketing, particularly SEO and PPC.
  • Experience leading client meetings, in-depth reviews, and work-in-progress sessions.
  • Ability to manage multiple significant projects (5-10) concurrently over periods exceeding three months.
  • Strong aptitude for problem-solving and minimizing risks.
  • Excellent communication skills, including coaching and stakeholder engagement.

Work Schedule: Full-time, fixed term
Employment Type: Full-time with Australian tax registration; contractor options available for applicants outside Australia without AUS tax registration.
