Role Summary

We are seeking a General Labourer to assist with our production and repack operations located at 501 McNicoll Ave, Toronto, ON. The role involves physically handling products processed through the drying/curing room, supporting efficient workflow and packaging quality.

Compensation

• $18 CAD per hour during the initial three-month probation period
• $18.72 CAD per hour following successful completion of probation

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret work orders or receive oral instructions to identify assignments and necessary materials and equipment
• Track quantities of units managed using daily production records or tickets
• Package items for shipment or storage in line with company and customer standards
• Label products clearly and precisely, adhering to shipping and inventory protocols
• Secure packages and pallets via strapping, wrapping, or other methods to ensure safe handling
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment, workspaces, and the overall facility environment
• Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain a tidy workspace
• Ensure compliance with legal environmental and safety standards applicable to the area
• Understand environmental effects related to activities and apply proper control measures
• Follow all environmental and safety guidelines, policies, and procedures consistently
• Perform additional duties as assigned

• Energetic and motivated individual
• Minimum age of 18 years
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities
• Capability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
• Ability to manage priorities effectively in a dynamic setting
• Self-driven with adaptable and analytical mindset

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand, bend, and stretch for prolonged periods throughout a normal work shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push or pull weights approaching 100 pounds

Work Schedule

• Sunday to Tuesday: 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• Wednesday: 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM
• Flexibility required to adjust schedule based on production demands
