About the Internship
We are seeking native Tamil speakers for a remote internship focused on text annotation and transcription. This short-term project aims to contribute significantly to the creation of AI datasets for the Tamil language.
Key Responsibilities
- Detect Tamil texts within images and accurately draw bounding boxes around them.
- Precisely transcribe the Tamil text exactly as shown in images.
- Adhere strictly to project-specific annotation guidelines and instructions.
- Maintain high-quality standards by ensuring accuracy throughout the annotation process.
- Perform review and corrections on annotations when necessary.
Eligibility and Requirements
- Applicants must be native or fluent Tamil speakers with strong reading and typing skills.
- Must have keen attention to detail to ensure quality output.
- Possession of a laptop or desktop with a reliable internet connection is essential.
- Familiarity with annotation or transcription is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Open to individuals available for a 1-week remote engagement starting between July 21 and August 25, 2026.
