About the internship
This internship is focused on mechanical design and CFD work for rooftop vertical-axis wind turbine systems. The role combines CAD development, simulation, prototype support, field testing, and product refinement in an early-stage engineering environment.
What you will work on
- Build, revise, and improve CAD models for rooftop vertical-axis wind turbine assemblies and parts.
- Support the design and assembly of blades, mounts, frames, housings, fixtures, and related mechanical components.
- Run entry-level CFD studies to examine airflow, drag, torque, and possible performance gains.
- Carry out basic structural checks using FEA to assess strength, vibration, fatigue risk, and rooftop safety.
- Assist with prototyping, fabrication, assembly, troubleshooting, testing, and design iterations.
- Join field trials, record findings, identify shortfalls in performance, and suggest practical engineering fixes.
- Prepare and update engineering drawings, technical records, test reports, specifications, and revision logs.
- Work with the founder and engineering team on manufacturability, cost reduction, reliability, and product development objectives.
- Help with component selection, material assessment, and process planning for prototype and production stages.
- Contribute to MVP development through testing, performance evaluation, and product improvement.

Other requirements
- Preferred backgrounds include Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics, Product Design, or a related field, whether currently pursuing studies or recently graduated.
- Strong practical CAD ability and a working grasp of CFD and FEA are expected.
- Priority may be given to candidates with prototype-building experience or exposure to 3D printing, fabrication, workshop projects, SAE/BAJA/Go-Karting, drones, turbines, or renewable energy projects.
- The internship requires comfort with hands-on testing, documentation, field visits, and startup-style work.
- Candidates must be willing to sign NDA, confidentiality, and IP assignment documents.
- The company operates from the office only, with no hybrid or work-from-home option.
- Working schedule is 6 days a week, Monday to Saturday, from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm.
Stipend
The internship offers a monthly stipend of INR 15,000 to INR 20,000.
