Bengali Transcription & Annotation Executive - Internship (WFH)

About the internship

This work-from-home internship is focused on Bengali language AI data collection, transcription, and annotation projects. The selected intern will contribute to speech-recognition and language-technology work by turning Bengali audio into precise text and completing annotation tasks according to project instructions.

What you’ll do

• Listen to Bengali audio files and produce accurate text transcriptions.
• Handle audio annotation, segmentation, speaker labeling, and metadata tagging.
• Spot unclear audio sections, background noise, speaker shifts, and transcription mistakes.
• Work in line with project-specific transcription and annotation rules.
• Keep output accurate, consistent, and efficient.
• Review and proofread transcription files before submission.
• Track completed work and ongoing project status.
• Coordinate with project managers on revisions and feedback.
• Protect the confidentiality of client data and audio assets.
• Finish assigned work within the required deadlines.

Who can apply

Applicants must be available for a remote internship, able to begin between 1 Jul 2026 and 5 Aug 2026, and committed for 2 months. Candidates should have relevant skills and interest in the role.

Other requirements

• Strong Bengali language ability.
• Ability to transcribe Bengali audio accurately.
• Experience with audio annotation and data annotation.
• Good listening skills.
• Ability to proofread and edit carefully.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Good time management.
• Access to a laptop or desktop and a stable internet connection.
• Must be able to work independently while maintaining high accuracy.
• Native or fluent Bengali speakers are preferred.
• Prior exposure to transcription, annotation, AI data collection, or language projects is beneficial.
• Freshers with strong Bengali skills may also apply.

Additional information

Stipend structure: Fixed pay of ₹5,000 to ₹15,000 per month plus incentive pay of ₹2,000 to ₹9,000 per month.
