Role Overview
The Water Regulations Officer operates within the Water Regulations and Standards Section that underpins the Bureau's pivotal responsibilities under the Water Act 2007 and the Water Regulations 2008. This section leads the administration and management of national water data, ensuring efficient data collection, management, and dissemination.
Key Responsibilities
The officer will regulate water data management by collaborating with data providers and users to minimize regulatory impacts while maximizing the availability and usefulness of water-related data. This involves contributing to the enforcement of the Commonwealth Water Regulations 2008 and supporting national water information standards governance.
Compliance and Governance
