About Soulbound and the Role
Soulbound is an upcoming top-down pixel-art MMORPG launching on Steam, succeeding its browser predecessor which attracted over one million players. The game has been rebuilt entirely for PC with a new engine, progression system, and narrative framework. The team is fully remote, around 20 members strong, and hires talent globally. Role Overview
This role redefines traditional QA responsibilities: it involves not just identifying bugs but diagnosing and fixing them collaboratively. You will act as a detective, investigating issues deeply and working closely with engineers and designers to implement solutions. This is a highly interactive, hands-on position with a live game, delivering immediate feedback as the game evolves.
Key Responsibilities
- Playtest new quests, game systems, and builds before they reach players.
- Deliberately break the game to identify causes, then isolate and suggest fixes.
- Collaborate directly with engineers and designers to resolve issues rather than just reporting them.
- Validate fixes and perform regression testing on a rapidly changing live game.
- Conduct stress tests during key events such as launches and updates.
- Monitor player experience patterns and provide early alerts to the team.
- Offer feedback on gameplay enjoyment and work with designers to enhance it.
- Propose ideas and improvements to the design team.

- Fluent English reading and writing skills at native level.
- Active Steam profile with extensive playtime demonstrated.
